Spring break means experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen! Today the boys came up with a pretty tasty recipe for pancakes that used up our rotting old banana no one wanted to eat. Here it is!
Peanut Butter/Banana Pancakes
Sift together 1 1/2 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
3 1/2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
Mush up 1 overly ripe banana and add to the mix
Melt 3 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
Pour in the peanut butter
Measure out 1 1/4 cups of milk
Add it to the rest
Beat it, just beat it until smooth
Go ahead and lick the beaters since there aren't any eggs in the batter
Cook like regular pancakes
*note: no one said pancakes have to be round
Marshmallow Syrup
2 tablespoons of butter
24 Marshmallows
stir together over a low heat
keep stirring until melted
plate the pancakes
pour on the syrup
and enjoy!
